ABOUT US
A company is only as good as its last project and to this end Pentagon prides itself on providing a professional yet personal service. It’s this approach to business that keeps Pentagon’s clients returning.

Goal

The Pentagon goal is to provide the best quality of service to clients and a happy, productive environment for staff. We do not believe that there can be one without the other.

Vision

  • To be the contractor of choice for private developers.
  • To work towards a continuous and stable growth pattern.

Mission

To source and train the highest caliber work force, in order to supply a premium product to the market.

Core Value

  • Integrity; the way we do business

Health & Safety Management

Pentagon Projects outsources its Health and Safety portfolio to an independent consultant. On site training by a qualified safety officer takes place once a week and site foremen are sent on off site training courses. Pentagon’s partners receive regular reports from the Health and safety consultant updating them on site safety.

Quality Control

It is the high level of quality control that sets Pentagon Projects apart from its competitors. All projects are allocated a dedicated site foreman and are personally overseen by a partner who attends all client and site meetings. Pentagon also uses trusted ‘subbies’ and suppliers with whom we have a long and successful working relationship.

Growth Patterns

Pentagon Projects started as a supplier of homes to the affordable market. In 2003 the company moved into in the medium to higher income housing sector. Since 2008 the company is involved in various residential, commercial and warehousing projects. Currently Pentagon Projects is an established and well known building contractor in Gauteng and striving to have continuous growth year on year.
Christo Swart
Although he may not admit it publicly, Christo spent the formative part of his life in Shark country, attending Newcastle High School where he matriculated in 1992. This was followed by a stint at Technical College where he received his N5 certificate.

From 1994-1996 Christo studied towards a diploma in computer systems at Pretoria Technicon. Not wanting to spend his life office bound and behind a monitor, Christo changed to Building Science in 1997 and completed his National Diploma in 1999.

He started his working life in 1998 as a Junior Project Manager for Millrand developments where he liaised with clients, contractors and the professional team, handling quality control on housing developments and tracking plans approval with various city councils.

In 1999 Christo joined Werner Stander Development where he started and managed a marketing office that focused on the provision of affordable building packages. During this period much of his time was spent liaising with attorneys and financial institutions.

At the end of 2000 Christo left Werner Stander to start Pentagon Projects with William Lambden. Besides the business, which takes up a lot of his time, Christo enjoys hunting, reading and travelling.

William Lambden
William was born and grew up in Lydenburg in Mpumalanga, attending both Lydenburg Primary and then Lydenburg High. After matriculating he moved to Pretoria where he studied building science at the Pretoria Technicon.

While studying, William worked for Boraro developers, as a site foreman, building full-title and sectional-title houses in Centurion, Pretoria. He then took a post as a Junior Project Manager with Qualiplan Developments, where he worked with plan approvals and quality control on site at an affordable housing project.

William received his National Diploma – Building Science in 1999 during which time he was contracted as a Project Manager to Werner Stander Developments, where he started up and managed the building side of the company’s affordable housing division.

In 2000 he left Werner Stander Developments to start Pentagon Projects with Christo. When not outdoors on a site you’ll generally find William outdoors anyway.
